upcoming school year. I know it seems a long way off, but I also know
that if you plan ahead, there is less chance of conflicts, seeing as we are
all so busy these days with numerous activities! If there are any

is holding a Social Action/Tikkun Olam
SOCK DRIVE
to benefit the residents of the North Shore Lookout Shelter
Help us reach our goal! We
are looking for 180 pairs of socks
that are:

new
or gently used
·
clean
·
hole-free
·
adult-sized
Donated socks may be delivered to the drop-off bin located in the shul
foyer after the High Holidays until end of December.

(grade 9-12) The most incredible 8 days you can imagine!!! Try
to visualize 1200 Jewish teens singing Hatikvah at opening ceremonies!

3 - 4, 2007
"Into the Night" An
all-night USY annual event, hosted by Seattle's Beth Sholom chapter.
Includes mystery tour and activities, dance...Although this is a chapter
event, generally about 200 USYers from all over the region attend this highly
successful all-night event. Tonnes of fun, and you get to sleep it off
on Sunday! (Grade 8-12)
March 9 - 11,
2007
Heschel Shabbaton, Washington
(grade 9-12) A meaningful study Shabbat with a theme. Smaler and
more intimate in size, but with wonderful USY ruach! Havdallah ceremony
and late night Sat night funactivities.
May 18 - 21, 2007
USY Regional Convention,
Portland, Oregon (grade 8-12) A wonderful culminating Regional event. Terrific
camaraderie, themed event, meaningful and fun activities, Regional elections
and awards ceremony, instillation ceremony, banquet, semi-formal dance and
lots more...
