Friday Fun-Day

During the summer, we invite everyone to join us for Friday Fun-Day! A great way to finish up the week with diverse and exciting workshops and activities! All workshops will take place on Friday afternoon for about 1.5 hours, and after each of them we will gather together for a community Kabbalat Shabbat. All workshops are designed for kids between 1st grade and 7th grade. Got younger kids? No worries! We also offer special recreation activities each Friday at the same time for the pre-K to Kindergarten age groups.

Participation in the activities requires prior registration. Each workshop costs $30 CAD. However, if you want to participate in all four, we have a discounted price of $100 CAD.

Photography Workshop with Galit Lewinski

July 8th, 2022, 4:00-5:30 pm

Join Galit and get to learn what is a camera and why we use it, get some photography tips and get the chance to practice them and get better!

Krav Maga and Self Defense Workshop

July 15th, 2022, 3:30-5:00 pm

For Ages 8-14 yo

Join us for an empowering Krav Maga Self Defense workshop with 2 multiple black belt, award winning instructors (male & female). This interactive class will cover key targets, effective striking, escapes, de-escalation, improvised weapons, exciting demo’s, and more. Intro to Drama – Arts Club Theatre Company

July 22nd, 2022, 3:30-4:30 pm

Join us for an afternoon of theatre games, improvisation and storytelling, offered by the Arts Club Theatre Company! This workshop invites young people to explore creativity and imagination using games, humour and team work.

Garden in a dish workshop with Leia Schatz

July 29th, 2022, 4:00-5:00 pm

Bring your children's inner gardening skills out with a dish garden workshop. Leia will guide your children through a creative, imaginatively encouraging hands-on application making their very own dish garden with small plants that they could take home. All materials provided.

Leia is a professional floral designer having worked in all facets of the industry including horticulture & being published formal media.

After the workshop we will gather for Kabbalat Shabbat with songs, games and snacks.

Pre-k/K Recreation Time

Join our instructor for a fun activity each Friday, that incorporates story time, arts and crafts and fun games! This activity is designed for Pre-K-Kindergarten kids.
