Welcome to Har El, The North Shore Centre for Jewish Life

We are your home for Judaism on the North Shore of Vancouver. We're here to help you explore your spiritual and cultural identity. We're building a warm, welcoming, inclusive, and open-minded Jewish home for all.

Staying connected during social distancing

During this time of advised social distancing, our building will be closed, but our community continues through our virtual connections!

Opportunities to connect:

  • Tuesday at 10am: Coffee social hour through zoom. Bring your own coffee. We can't email it to you
  • Wednesday at 11am: Class on the book of Samuel through zoom. Instructions for joining are below.
  • Friday at 6pm: Shabbat gathering through Facebook live. Please go to this website to access the video. You can also watch over zoom.
  • Shabbat prayers will be at the Synagogue at 10am.
    We ask that you sign up before hand using this link.  Please bring your own mask if possible.
