High Holidays 5786/2025

Join us for our High Holiday Services. 

  • Monday, September 22nd at 6pm: Rosh Hashanah evening services
  • Tuesday, September 23rd at 9:30am: Rosh Hashanah morning services with a parallel children's service starting around 10:30
  • Wednesday, September 24th at 9:30am: Rosh Hashanah morning services for the second day
  • Wednesday, September 24th at 5pm: Family gathering at John Lawson Park including Tashlikh and Shofar blowing
  • Wednesday, October 1st at 6:15pm: Kol Nidre services for the Evening of Yom Kippur
  • Thursday, October 2nd at 9:30am: Yom Kippur morning services including Yizkor with a parallel children's service starting around 10:45.
  • Thursday, October 2nd at 5pm: Yom Kippur afternoon and concluding services followed by a community break the fast

All the sanctuary services will be streamed as a one-way webinar on Zoom. For those who will be praying at home, you can buy a copy of Machzor Lev Shalem (our High Holiday Prayerbook) from the office.

Prepare for the High Holidays

We will have multiple ways to prepare for the Holidays together.

Bake Challah

Each person will braid and bake two to four challahs. You will take one home and donate the rest to support the Jewish Family Services food security programs. We will have two sessions. Please sign up:

We will have two classes to learn about the holidays.

  • Saturday, September 13th after kiddush. No sign up necessary
  • Tuesday, September 16th on Zoom. Please sign up here.

The online class will end with advice for making the holidays meaningful for children.

Rabbi Philip will also lead a study session on Yom Kippur afternoon at 4pm.

 

Register for Services

How many people are part of your group?
Rosh Hashanah will begin on Monday, September 22nd. We will have services on Monday evening at 6pm as well as Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 9:30am.
During our service on Tuesday, we will have a break-out service for children and families starting around 10:30am.
On Wednesday afternoon at 5pm, we will have a tashlikh, shofar blowing, and family activity in John Lawson Park.
Yom Kippur will begin on Wednesday, October 1st. We will hold Kol Nidre services on Wednesday at 6:15 pm. On Thursday, October 2nd, our morning service will begin at 9:30 am and will include Yizkor.
There will be a children's service starting around 10:45am.
Rabbi Philip will be teaching a class about a theme of Yom Kippur at 4 pm, and our afternoon service will begin at 5 pm with the service continuing with Neilah and ending with Havdalah at 7:35. There will be a light break the fast afterwards--no registration necessary. Which services do you plan on attending?
