Be Part of Our Community
We'd love to have you join the North Shore Jewish Community / Congregation Har El family!
Becoming a member means:
- Being part of a friendly Jewish community that enjoys being together, and cares for each other in good times and bad
- Supporting and enjoying our programs, religious services and celebrations, and learning for all ages at our beautiful synagogue
- Enabling our wonderful rabbi and staff to be there for us and with us every year
Whether you are a transplant to North Vancouver or a native to these parts, the North Shore Jewish Community / Congregation Har El is a place where you can make friends, get involved in activities, have fun, learn and grow. Our community includes Jews by birth and by choice, interfaith families, youth, families, singles and seniors. We depend on each other to pool our resources financially and as volunteers to make our congregation successful in serving our goal of creating a strong, connected and welcoming community.
Please email office@harel.org or call Avital at (604) 925-6488 ext. 102 to discuss any questions you might have and to arrange a visit.
Membership fees include High Holy Day tickets for members and financially dependent children. While dues only cover a portion of our costs, these fees have a big impact in maintaining our staff and building. If fees pose too high a burden for your situation, we have a confidential process to accommodate people at whatever level they can afford.
You can download our membership form as both a pdf and word document.
