Historical fiction about a "fair-skinned black woman who poses as white" to become the personal librarian for JP Morgan in the early 1900s. A fascinating story. Some of the information comes from actual letters she wrote to her Jewish boyfriend, which he kept. Karen will also discuss Lincoln's "Emancipation Act" of 1863.
